‘Misleading to say Sodomy II was private action’ Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak misled the people, and even United States President Barack Obama, by declaring yesterday that the Sodomy II case was “an action taken by an individual” and not the case of the government against Anwar Ibrahim, PKR said today. “It is a criminal prosecution brought by the attorney-general against Anwar. The AG is the legal adviser to the government and acts on behalf of the government. “It is also a notorious and indisputable fact that the AG is not independent of the government, and has been partial to government interests in instituting prosecutions,” PKR vice-president N Surendran said.
