Miss Scuba UK 2013 after all the trials, tribulations and set backs of getting the show on the road, proved to be a fantastic success in Sharm El Sheikh and maybe, just maybe, fate had a hand in directing us to Egypt. The management of the Iberotel Il Mercato Resort were superb and invaluable in terms of cooperation, generosity and assistance and that’s not mentioning how fantastic the hotel was in terms of facilities and food, as were the owners of the amazing Diving & Discovery Dive School who worked with us, beyond the call of duty, so to speak, to help make the event memorable. If anyone out there wants a fantastic sunshine holiday, look no further than this wonderful hotel and if divings your thing, then this dive school is the only one for you. Our crew were immense lead by Charlotte Holmes and Jess Linley and last but certainly not least were eight wonderful young ambassadors for our country and finalists of Miss Scuba UK who made the event so special. All eight girls passed their PADI Open Water license with flying colours and entered into the spirit of all the twelve scoring rounds with such enthusiasm and aplomb whilst behaving impeccably. These girls are an amazing credit to themselves and their families for their spirit and contribution, helping make this a wonderful event which we hope will run for years to come. Finally thanks to the wonderful people of Egypt who took us into their hearts and looked after us and gave us a trip of a life time so we thank you Egypt and the Red Sea Resort of Sharm El Sheikh!
