Miss Universe is a gruelling title, yet not an impossible one to achieve for women from our country, coz we definitely seem to have proved it in the past. But off late, all we see is that these women are marketed beyond necessity even before they participate in the actual pageant competition which sets them under immense pressure! So there is either nervousness n diffidence or complacence. Even if a young charming women gets selected, after all the reality shows aired, and her entire privacy killed, she becomes cold blooded, bloody bold n ostentatious to win here which means she would actually be faking her sweet feminity in the actual pageant with utter poise. This counterplays the entire idea of a beauty pageant in the first place!!! Well the body of all women that contest have to be fantastic. Period. No taking back. But what happened to the recent contests conducted within India?? Very rarely do we see the likes of lovely faces like a Sushmita Sen or an Aishwarya Rai. The charm of the Indian women lies in their face. Then why is this usp going so untapped? Look at the top 15 contestants from the world around. They all have lovely faces, with overflowing feminity n charm. But by the time our girls reach there, they have already lost it, thanks to making their lives miserable through reality shows (latest conducted by Lara Datta) that make them more beastly than beauty, for the sheer increase of TRP! If training has to be done, let it be, but neednt make their private lives a public foray even before they play the real game!!! Were these there when Lara Datta herself won it???
