Missing my sweet little dog tonight. She was the victim of a cruel persons BB gun and it lead to an infection in her large intestine. The decision had to be made to put her to sleep. The vet did everything he could but at 13 years old, her quality of life would be diminished and there was no guarantee she would survive such a risky surgery. Im heartbroken that her life was taken from her. She was healthy and he said her organs were functioning well. She still had life in her. I said not too long ago that she is had aged well. She didnt have the typical old dog issues. We have her son still with us. Hes 11 and Im praying he doesnt get depressed and mourn for her too long. He is very anxious tonight. Why do people have to be so hateful. She wasnt dangerous or mean. She was a little 10lb dog that wouldnt dare hurt anyone. RIP sweet Virginia. You were loved little girl.
