Missing since 3am this morning! Nia is a dorki, (doxie/yorkie mix) about 8 months old weighing around 5lb. My brother went outside to check out the commotion on his porch when his puppy slipped through his legs. Three brown bears were spotted and one was wounded or is now dead. We have not found any trace of Nia and have been searching for hours. The bears have not been sighted since. We are hoping she is ok and just hiding because she is scared. Anyone around the Jim Dahlar/ frontage road/ Illiamna loop area please keep your eyes open and beware of 2 healthy bears an injured one.
