Missional living has become a term used a lot in Christian circles, but do we realize that mindset includes our families? It is a tragedy when we neglect the instruction of our children due to busy schedules. The Bible tells us that raising our children in the ways of the Lord is not primarily the church’s responsibility—it is ultimately upon parents to make sure that the next generation is flourishing in the ways of God. Assemble the people—men, women and children, and the foreigners residing in your towns—so they can listen and learn to fear the Lord your God and follow carefully all the words of this law. Their children, who do not know this law, must hear it and learn to fear the Lord your God as long as you live in the land you are crossing the Jordan to possess.”Deuteronomy 31:12-13 (NIV)
