Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV Concept-S - Paris Motor Show. Mitsubishis New Outlander PHEV Concept-S Looking Good in Paris Theres still hope for Mitsubishi and its Outlander SUV as the Japanese carmaker tugged the covers off a new PHEV Concept-S model with much improved looks. The Concept-S is a more stylish take on the standard Plug-in hybrid model that Mitsubishi says will join the range within the next year. Its design also hints at the upcoming facelift for the entire Outlander series. Compared to the regular Outlander PHEV, the Concept-S wears a brand new front end with more angular and futuristic looking headlamps, a redesigned rear featuring full-width taillights, side skirts and brawnier wheels. The body is finished in a special Platinum White Glass Flake paint. On the inside, Mitsubishi refined the cabin with a “Black & Burgundy” color scheme that works together with black wood grain trim with silver accents, and horizontally-ribbed cushioning for the seats. No changes were made to the powertrain that includes a four-cylinder 2.0-liter petrol and twin electric motor system for a total output of 204hp, a 0-100km/h sprint in 11 seconds and a claimed fuel economy of 143.5 mpg US or 1.64 lt/100km / 172 mpg UK.
