Mixed emotions as we say goodbye to Long Beach. We say goodbye to the surf, sand, and special friends we met in the LBC; however, Michael Turf-Blair and I continue our adventure, living in the land of Mickey, but it appears like we are nestled in the middle of a little village, surrounded by evergreens, streams, fish, ducks, and turtles. Were not sure whether Lukas will want to play or make Duck a l orange with them. Miserable traffic from The 57 roars just feet away, but peace and tranquility surround us, thanks to a huge sound barrier. We look back with a sense of relief and gratitude for what we have learned. We both look for meaning as we start thinking about our own familys future while remembering that we are, in fact, gaining new family where we work, where we study and where we worship. As we put out the welcome matt, we truly do want to invite you in! Whether youre eggoing some Legos near San Diego or have a 24 hour layover at LAX, the door is open, but Jake May pee on your pillow. Sort of sums it all up. Our lives, sometimes smell like a yellow pillow. But the smell fades, the washing machine gets out the stain, and we have a good laugh at what happened. Too simple? Sometimes, I think weve made it too difficult. So as I go to Target to get some glue paste for seminary and Michael gives me the, 7th graders are the most likely to transmit rabies to a teacher lecture, I sit back looking at theses boxes, look at my miracle husband and two crazy beasts... I know how I got here. I know how we got here. Life is here. Packed or unpacked, He made it good.
