Miya is attending Canine Corral Dog Daycare once a week. Here is her week 3. Finally she started to play with dogs, her doggy picks are Ada GSD and Mike Great Dane. Miya is very berry cute girl, we fell in love with her sweet eyes, huge ears, soft fur and her great personality. Miya is German Shepard Rescue of Northern California foster dog. She will be available for adoption soon. Here is Miyas Story: Miya is a female German Shepherd puppy who is about 5 months old. She arrived at the shelter limping from a deformed leg. The x-rays showed a former break that is healed but was not properly set. When she arrived at her foster home Miya was untrained, but she now knows sit and wait and is crate trained. She does not resource guard her food and shares her eating space with her foster brother. She is good in the car, rides quietly and doesnt require crating. She still needs work on leash walks. Like any puppy Miya will chew and dig if left unsupervised. She has had several encounters with the family cat. The cat let her know he was not interested in playing and she is respectful of the cat and is quite calm around him. Miya was not socialized with dogs, but since coming to Rescue she has made great progress. She is living with a very soft male GSD and has learned to not jump on him. She is attending doggie day-care where she is being exposed to many dogs. She plays appropriately with dogs of many ages and sizes. Weve taken Miya to a specialist to determine what needs to be done to fix her leg. Due to her being in a period of quick growth (with the bones changing) the recommendation is to wait a month and do a follow up visit and additional x-rays. Because of the uncertainty in that prognosis Miya will need to stay in a foster home until we know more about her condition. It is possible that she will need surgery, but that is not yet determined. Miya is looking for a home where she can be in a foster to adopt situation until she is medically cleared. Miya is a level 3 puppy who is living at a foster home on the peninsula. Due to potential for post surgery care, she will need a home where her people are around. It will be best if she lives with another dog. youtu.be/0F0gUZn5dng savegsd.org/dogdetail.asp?id=4933
