Mlamleli Belot (Regional Director – Region G Department of Citizen Relationship and Urban Management) says: they have worked together with Clr. Peter Deon Rafferty, doing street by street visits to see where City of Johannesburg service is required in Eldorado Park. Areas that are problematic has been identified. Cleaning of areas must be sustainable in order to eradicate illegal dumping. Law enforcement mandate of City of Johannesburg is to enforce by-laws. The community of Eldorado Park must take ownership on the positive implementations. City of Johannesburg has set aside money and people to look into the problematic areas that has been identified. Grass is being cut, roads are being fixed, parks and recreation facilities are being fixed. Recreation activities are being developed to keep our young people busy and away from lolly lounges (drug dens). June Holidays there will be a number of activities for the children of this community Eldorado Park.
