Mo. man to face charges in failed racetrack bidCOLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) — A man who pledged to develop an auto-racing complex in central Missouri faces charges after his release from prison in Oklahoma. Robert Stone was involved in a failed plan to build a $ 60-million auto-racing venue in Randolph County. Hes serving time in Oklahoma on fraud and embezzlement charges and is set to be released from prison there in the next few months. The Columbia Daily Tribune reports (bit.ly/1fJBWbw ) Stones charged with theft and forgery in Ralls County, Mo., where his case was moved on a venue change. Randolph County Prosecutor Mike Fusselman says when Stones released from prison in Oklahoma hell be prosecuted in Missouri. Stone, a former member of the Sturgeon R-5 Board of Education, has pleaded not guilty in Missouri.
