Mobile phone operator Airtel Bangladesh Limited received 3G license from the Bangladesh Telecom Regulatory Commission (BTRC) in Dhaka on Thursday. Airtel earlier submitted the 3G License Acquisition Fee and Spectrum Assignment Fee amounted Tk 3.69 billion to BTRC, said a press release. Sunil Kanti Bose, Chairman of BTRC, handed over license to Chris Tobit, CEO and Managing Director of Airtel Bangladesh Limited. SK Mukhopadhyay, Chief Financial Official and Ashraf Chowdhury, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer of Airtel Bangladesh Limited along with other officials attended the function.
