Moderate Muslims insist Boko Haram do not bid the wishes of Allah. Boko Haram insist the moderate Muslims are conspirators and respecters of democracy and the constitution and so should be killed like the unbelievers. The question begging for answers then is: who bids Allahs wishes-the moderate Muslims or the Jihadists? The Koran contain about 109 verses calling Muslims to wage war against non believers for the reason of Islamic rule. Not joining the war mean a direct ticket to hell. Historical contexts surrounding texts do not limit the meanings of such texts. The violent texts in the Koran are open-ended meaning they can be applied at all times and circumstances. This gives Muslims the freedom of personal choice in interpreting the verses. The problem we have in Nigeria today, apparently is not a problem of bad people but a problem of bad ideology. So next time you (Moderate Muslims) tell me Boko Haram are non Muslims and do not bid the wishes of Allah, be sure to show me a revised Koran with violent verses completely expunged.
