Modular Construction mourns the loss of yet another of MBIs Hall of Fame: Mike Arnold of Mark Line Industries passed away earlier this week from a long battle with cancer. Inducted into the MBI Hall of Fame in 2009, Mike Arnold is best known to the industry as the founder of Mark Line (1968). However, he was also a beloved friend, husband, father, and grandfather. You can read his complete obituary below. He served for many years at Mark Line as Chairman and CEO. In 1977, Mike also started Haulmark Industries, a steel-framed cargo trailer manufacturer that he grew to become the largest manufacturer in its field with three plants in Indiana, and plants in Pennsylvania, Georgia, Utah, Arizona and Texas. By the time he sold Haulmark in 2002, their product line ranged from a small 5x6 cargo trailer to 45 foot car hauler trailers, and semi-trucks that were converted to 45 foot motorhomes capable of towing stacker trailers. From Mark Line Industries’ humble beginnings in Elkhart, the company has grown to three manufacturing locations totaling over 300,000 square feet of manufacturing space serving the Midwest, Northeast, Mid-Atlantic and Southeast Regions of the United States. For over 40 years Mike Arnold dedicated himself with passion to the industry and has been a champion for innovation, growth, and embracing change. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Arnold family and the Mark Line team. bit.ly/1qqU4OI
