Module: Agriculture Reforms Agriculture is the backbone of the Pakistani industry. Pakistans principal natural resources are arable land and water. About 25% of Pakistans accounts for about 21.2% of GDP and employs about 43% of the labour force. According to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), Pakistan is one of the worlds largest producers and suppliers of several commodities including Cotton (4th), Sugar-cane (5th), Wheat (7th), etc. Agriculture Reforms is an ideas competition determined to come up with innovative ideas to overcome post-harvest losses in Pakistan. The term ?post-harvest losses? describes all losses of produced food between harvest and the marketing processes of said produce. This includes all steps of the food supply chain, from harvest, to handling, storage, processing, packing, and transportation.
