Molly Keith MacDonald NEED ADVICE FROM CAT COMMUNITY ASAP! I have a 13-14 yr. old neutered male stray that I took in a few years ago. He is peeing in a couple different spots outside of the litter box. He did this in the house and is now doing it on the boat too. Even if the litter box is spotless he will still deliberately choose one of his spots. The floors on the boat are hardwood so he is ruining the wood. We have tried all sorts of cleaners to get the smell gone, including vinegar. We painted the areas with Kilz paint which is supposed to seal off smells etc. He is not incontinent. He goes in the litter box too. He is deliberately peeing in his spots. There isnt a way to barricade the areas off so he wouldnt have access. It needs to stop ASAP. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
