Mom Regina Kay Striff is out of surgery and doing well. When the surgeon got in there he found that her bones as a child did not form correctly like other peoples bones form and therefore the implant for her elbow would not fit or work. He said for 99.9% of people this works, but she falls into the .1% that it doesnt. They removed her elbow joint and by doing this it should alleviate some of the pressure and pain she was having down her arm and wrist. The bad side of this is that her arm will be very weak and have limited range of motion. Dr didnt say what other treatment options are available, but hopefully after she has recovered from this there will be some other options available. Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers for her, Ill keep everyone updated.
