Mom Status Update........ Left for the doctor at 8:30 this morning, didnt get home until 4:30....... When she went to the hospital on Tuesday, her blood pressure was 100/60 which I thought was low, but according to EMS, it was perfect. sigh. Doc was not happy that it was so low. Taking away one of her pressure pills for now. Down to 100 mg instead of 125. Needs that dose to keep her heart rate acceptable. The Cipro that the hospital gave her for the UTI is useless - which I thought............. I was told by the hospital that her chest is clear. But she has an upper respiratory infection that needed a real antibiotic. Doc gave her Levaquin. Im allergic. Lets see how she does. He wanted her to go to the hospital, but she threw a temper tantrum so he allowed her to go home, provided I check in with him laer today and possibly bring her to him again tomorrow. Shes loopy from the UTI and the codeine in the cough medicine. Should I have protested when the hospital gave her the Cipro? How the hell do you know what to do when its your mother, not your kid??????
