Mom died August 23, 2003 on a Saturday morning of an inoperable stage 4 brain tumor - glioblastoma, (GBM). She died, as she lived her life, with grace, dignity, and that very special quality no words can describe. Whether we called her sunshine, mom, hey mom, aunt, friend, or Anita (or as some like my dad would say Neat), she left us with many of her gifts, her teachings, her tool belt for life. They were gifts of generosity, patience, friendship, strength, courage, faith, love. We ride in memory of her life. We ride to celebrate it! We ride and know that science and medicine have both advanced over the last ten years and quality of life and life itself doesnt mean death once diagnosed today. We ride knowing that we pave a trail for others to survive cancers that previously could not be treated. We ride because we are healthy and thankful for our precious life. And we ride knowing mom is smiling and riding with us. And we thank you as you have supported us and will be riding with us. And that is what this means to us. Thank you fully and as sincerely as mere words can only convey. Much peace always -
