Moments like these I wish I had studied A/C repair... Any experts? My bedroom (window) a/c will not cool. It runs, and the fan works but If I turn it to a/c instead of just fan, then it will run then suddenly do as if its trying to activate the compressor to cool the air, but it wont activate.... I can see the effect on the room lights and anything turned on, there is a short drop in power as the compressor tries to start but it stops without activating... but the fan continues to blow air.... it is not hot air, it is nice breezy air... just not cold like you´d expect. After doing some reading ... some forums suggest to check the capacitor and coils.... so... tomorrow, that is my mission.... I will either fix it... or set it on fire.
