Momma Brag: my 10 yr old, non-verbal son, who has moderate-severe Autism, Mild Cerebral Palsy, Moderate Intellectual Disability (MR), Microcephaly, and Cortical blindness, was doing an I Spy book with me. First I was amazed at how he could find hidden treasures from a very busy visual field (thank you Stacy Lawrence Cullen & FBC). Then at the end it asks you to identify words that start/end with..., and he pointed to all the correct words! THEN it asks for you to identify which words rhyme (choices were plane, oars, & rusty chain) & he nailed it! I had no idea he could identify rhyming words. He was really proud of himself too, as I squealed and praised him profusely! Wow! Thank you to his SLP Sarah Hales, his teacher Ms. Halbig, and all the other therapists who have helped him!
