Mom: Aislynne. Hairdresser #1: Oh. You are better off spelling it Mom: (Thinking to herself- I know. Thats why I spelled it) A-I-S........L-Y-N-N-E Hairdresser #1:A-I-L? Mom: A-I-S...........L-Y-N-N-E Hairdresser #1: ok...there is an N after the E? Mom: No, N-N-E....... A-I-S.....-L-Y........-N-N-E Hairdresser #1: Oh! Aislynne! Thats not so hard to pronounce! Mom (smiling): No. Its not. Hairdresser #1: And whats your last name? Mom: I only have one name. Hairdresser #1: You dont have a last name? Mom: Nope! Just one name. No last name Hairdresser #1 (holding hands in air with very upset look on face): But I need two names! Mom (still trying to smile): Well you can just make one up! or some people put a period. (Goes and sits down). Hairdresser #2 (Calls Moms name): ASHLEY??? Mom: (Sighing) Yes, its Ashley. The two Ns are silent. Hairdresser #2: Sorry? Mom: Nevermind. (Thinking to herself- Thank God I do not have a last name.....We just used up 10 minutes of our lives on my first name! We cant get those minutes back! They are gone forever!
