Moms heart rate is in the the 170s to 190s. According to her heart rate she is running a marathon that has lasted for over a week. Father, WHERE IS THE FINISH LINE?!!! I am not angry, I just love my mother so much that I just want her fight to be done. She is weary. She has not rested or relaxed in weeks. Everything I have ever known and seen in my mother has slipped away. As I sit near by, I just stare at her precious face. She no longer asks what day it is, what time it is, for something to eat or even when she can have her medicine.She asks for water only. When she tries to talk, it is often hard to understand and does not make sense...not to us anyway. She very seldom opens her eyes and if she does, it is brief and empty. She is alone and I feel so helpless! She has one foot in this world and one foot in the next. This life will not let her go..... Today, this is my plea...... Jesus, during your time on this earth, you said, Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. We know that true rest for our souls, can only be found in You, and I know that true rest for moms body can only be given by You. Father, in all things we seek to honor and glorify You. But today, we plead with you to give mom rest! Rest for her body. Rest that can no longer be found in this life. Father, she has indeed fought the good fight, she has kept the faith, let her finish this race! She has lived a life that she has nothing to be ashamed of. She has set an example of unconditional love, commitment and selflessness for her family. A legacy that will live on for generations to come...but she is ready to be with you Father. To You and You alone be all honor and praise and glory! 2 Timothy 4:6-7, 6b.......and the time of my departure is at hand. 7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 8 Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing. In Jesus Name! Amen and Amen!!!
