Mon 11/25 update...Today I got to experience something special that you all would probably enjoy very much. I got to hang out with Blake several hours! His family had some appointments to go to, so it was my lucky day. :) We all have been praying so hard for Blake since his accident and I wanted to share a first hand glimpse of how far he has come since September 8th so you can see how God has answered some of our prayers! He is visibly stronger and so much faster in his arm movements. (He can work his Ipad faster than I can, even though he is still waiting for finger movement to be restored! :) ) I absolutely loved seeing his incredible improvement in arm strength in the last few weeks. Keep praying for his fingers, please! I know weve prayed a lot for Blakes ability to eat and drink and stay hyrdated and I could see why that is a big deal. He doesnt usually feel thirst or much hunger, so has to make himself do almost every swallow and bite inspite of it frequently not feeling very good on the way down. He is a trooper and keeps at it because he knows thats what his body needs, even though its not easy. A lot of what Blake is experiencing every day is like that. He keeps at therapy even though its harder than we can imagine! He is doing everything he can to aid in his recovery. I was a very proud auntie today watching him doing his exercises and spending time with him. Lets keep praying for strength for him for every single day of this journey! THANK YOU SO MUCH for sending so much encouragement and support to Blake and his family.
