Monday: 1 Peter 1:1-5 • Ask yourself sincerely today – “Am I genuinely born-again?” If you are, praise God from verse 3. Otherwise, why not invoke His mercy and the power that resurrected Jesus (verse 3) today and ask for a rebirth into a living hope? • Praise God for the inheritance – even life forever more – kept for you in heaven • Ask God to shield you by His power through faith in these last days that you may not miss this inheritance Meditation/Prayer/Action point: 1 Peter 1:6-7 • How do I respond to trails – hardships, lack, temptations etc? • Does my response prove my conviction as a believer? • Does my response honour Christ and the word of God in my life? • Is there anything the Spirit of God is point to you right now? Take note of it and receive the grace to act on it. • Trials would come, please pray today that even in the most stiff trials, God must be honoured in your life Tuesday: 1 Peter 1:13-21 • Father let your grace be sufficient for me today and always to live a life pleasing to you • Give me the courage to obey you completely without hesitation • Redeem me today from every form of emptiness of life Meditation/Prayer/Action point: 1 Peter 1:22-25 • How much love do I have for others, especially other believers? • What does it mean to me that I’ve been born again of imperishable seed? • How is this truth supposed to affect my way of life and the fruit that come out of my life? • What kind of glory do I seek after, such that fade away like the flower? • How do I begin to seek the glory that abides forever? • Take note of His instructions to you today and pray for help to do Wednesday: 2 Peter 3:1-6, Psalms 1:1-3 • Father, help me to recognise the counsel of the wicked and renounce them in my life • Lord cause me not to stand in the ways of sinners • That I may not find comfort and rest in the seat and company of the scornful. • Let my delight be in the law of the Lord • Stir in me a fresh zeal, interest and will to meditate on your at all times Meditation/Prayer/Action point: 2 Peter 3:8-9 • Have I ever considered the Lord slow on His promises? • In these times of instant-response demands, how would these truths about God’s timing help me live better? • Pray that God would help you to be patient and walk according to His timing and not your perceived timing.
