#Monday #BigChanges #Rain #Cold #Snow #OHwx Who enjoyed Monday? I hope you did because I believe that this was the last day of a serene, relatively tranquil Autumnal day. Temperatures reached the upper 60s to lower 70s with partly to mostly sunny skies and relatively light breezes. Far eastern areas had the clouds a bit longer and few sprinkles, but 95% of the area was gorgeous. So I hope you got out and enjoyed it, because another day like this probably is not coming until April of 2014. Tuesday starts the significant changes that have been discussed over the last couple weeks. Temperatures will still be above normal, but winds will start to increase, clouds will thicken and lower, and rain showers should enter the region from west to east by late afternoon. These showers will continue through Wednesday, gradually tapering off as the day progresses but cooler temperatures and windy conditions will settle in. Two factors to add emphasis on this system is the entrainment of Octave into the front and winds. First, satellite imagery shows the moisture from Octave becoming entrained, this is why I believe a solid period of moderate rain will move through early Wednesday morning through around midday. Second, most know the saying Winds of Change, well expect windy conditions starting Tuesday and lasting for several days as we carve out this significant pattern change across the Ohio Valley. So much so, come the last 5 days of October, a few snowflakes will fall across the region. To the Forecast: Tuesday- Lowering and Thickening Clouds with a chance of rain by late afternoon.
