Monday, December 1, 2014: A month ago, 110 employees of the JFK Hospital were dismissed by the Chief Administrator Madam McDonald Scott due to low intake of patients while the deadly Ebola virus was still on the increased. The dismissed employees took their case to the National Legislature for intervention but up to date there has been no redress in this matter. In one of the recent sitting of the Lower House, Hon. Gabriel Nyenka Chairman on Claims & Petitions accused the Health Committee of accepting bribes from Madam Scott to keep silence on the matter and promised to take up the issue and will inform the Liberian on this matter if the committee does not report to plenary. The Island Clinic has layout another 300 hundred health workers due what the management trend as a significant reduction of the deadly Ebola virus. According to Mr.Sanoe head of the health workers at the Island Clinic, said the management has not pay them for the past four (4) months and they been forced to sign contract without going through it.
