ROAD ACCIDENT KILLS 10YR OLD BOY A ten year old boy has died in a fatal road accident that occurred at Kasitu Trading Center in the area of Traditional Authority Kafuzira in Nkhotakota district. The accident occurred on Friday evening at about 1830Hrs, after a motor vehicle registration number ZA 596, a Toyota Progress Saloon, which was being driven by Mr. Chitaniso Bongwe, aged 37, of Ndenguma village in the area of Traditional Authority Malemya in Nsanje district hit the boy after he (the boy) had emerged into the road when the vehicle was at close range. During the time, the driver was driving along the M5 tar marked road from Dwambazi to Dwangwa while the boy was hit when he was a trying to cross the road. The boy died on the sport. Postmortem results obtained at Matiki Health Center has reviewed that the boy sustained head injuries and a fractured neck. The decease has been identified as Essau Phiri, of Mpolopoto Village in the area of Traditional Authority Kafuzira in Nkhotakota district. Following the accident the Police are advising parents and guardians to monitor their children properly inorder to avoid similar loss of life.
