Monday Marketing Tip: Manage customer expectations and set boundaries, starting NOW! If customers are calling out of hours, stop answering your phone out of hours. Stop answering emails at stupid o clock. Stop saying yes to appease people even though its going to cause you hassle. Set out your way of working NOW and stick to it. Tell customers when they can expect their order, even if its a few weeks. If they want you, they will wait. Put an out of office on your email and then dont look at it until work time. Dont answer your phone on an evening for work stuff. People will soon get used to it. Its never too late to change the way you do things and if youre not doing it, dont complain when people dont respect your boundaries - they cant respect boundaries they cant see. Love, Claire xx
