Picture will be sent home with student within a day or two after receiving payment. Please make payment to Bill Miller Photographers. ________________________________________ Brite Stars Friday, February 6th, 6:30PM Tickets for Brite Stars are now on sale to our big event. We hope you can attend Brite Stars to enjoy this fun filled evening with live music by Father Licari and Mass Confusion, fellowship and more. Tickets are $65. Each Grade level collected and designed these wonderful baskets to help raise money for our school. The winner of each basket will be announced the night of our Brite Stars Gala on Friday, February 6th. Tickets for these baskets are on sale NOW in the school front office for only $1.00 each. Tickets for the event are also on sale in the school front office. If you could help set-up, serve, or clean-up on the morning of Thursday, January 29th, please contact Dave Zeh: [email protected] or call him at 720-325-4566. ________________________________________ Candy Gram Sale Tuesday, January 27th – Wednesday, February 11th The Saint Mary Student Council is holding a fundraiser. Students, teachers, and family members will be able to purchase Candy Grams (10 pieces of Candy Kisses with a note attached) starting Tuesday, January 27th through Wednesday, February 11th. The Candy Grams cost one dollar ($1.00) each and will be delivered to the Homerooms and Offices on Friday, February 13th. Please support this fundraiser by purchasing a Candy Gram for your student, his/her in-school friends, faculty, or other school employees. Please include the dollar donation with the completed Candy Gram when you return it to your homeroom. ________________________________________ Spring Sports Golf and Tennis (late February through early May) These two sports are for boys and girls in 5th - 8th grades. Practices are held after school at the FWB Tennis Center and the FWB Golf Course. The city charges $35 for a tennis center membership, which is good throughout the season. The city charges $50 for a junior golf membership, which is good for a year. These payments are in addition to the $50 Saint Mary Catholic School athletics fee. Players need to have their own tennis racquet or golf clubs, as well as appropriate shoes. Tryouts are held for each of these sports. Dates TBA. Students should sign up with Mrs. Abel if interested. Tuesday, January 27th – 100th Day of School Classes buddy up to complete 100th Day activities Wednesday, January 28th – Adoration with Out of Darkness @ 1:15 PM (approximately 1 hour) Parishioners & Families are invited to join us! Thursday, January 29th – Grandparents Day Mass @ 8:15 AM We invite all Grandparents to join us for Mass and Reception Students may sit with grandparents (family) in Mass Immediately followed by reception (until approximately 10:30 AM) Students may only attend reception with family members Performance by some students from Starlight Express Bring your dollars to take a chance on some of our great Brite Stars baskets! Friday, January 30th – Sock Hop Students may come to school dressed in “Sock Hop” outfits – rolled up jeans, bobby socks, poodle skirts, white t-shirts, sweaters, leather jackets, Converse high tops, saddle shoes, penny loafers, etc. 1:00-1:15 Ks and 1st 1:15-1:45 2nd through 5th 1:45-2:30 6th through 8th Service Project: Students bring new socks, hats, gloves, mittens to donate. ________________________________________ Catholic Charismatic Conference March 13th-15th 34th Annual Catholic Charismatic Conference: March 13th – 15th at the Saint Mary Parish Life Center in Fort Walton Beach. Theme: “You are clothed with power from on high” (Luke 24:49b). Guest Speakers: Bishop Gregory Parkes, Fr. Scott McCaig, Carol Marquardt, Fr. Nicholas Schumm, and Fr. Will Ganci.
