Monday, November 18, 2013 FAITH NEVER FAILS For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith (1 John 5:4) Faith is the basis of our trust in God. Gideons child-like faith in God bouyed him up to go to war with just 300 men and he had a decisive victory over the multitudes assembled by his enemies. The Bible makes it clear that anyone who is born of God overcomes evils, satan, spiritual enemies, failure and othe forces that militate against Gods will in their lives. It also reveals that it is the believers faith in Christ that enables him or her to obtain the victory. The faith that overcomes the world is a faith that sees eternal realities, experiences the power of God, and loves Christ to such an extent that the sinful pleasures, social vices, ungodly ways not only lose their attraction for us but also are looked upon with disdain. To obtain this faith, you have to repent, forsake all your sins and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ if you have not been born again. So, as you go out today, confront all your challenges and do all your work with courage and faith in God. Challenge: God has promised never to leave or forsake you.
