Monday Prayer Program Topic: Oil Of Joy( Special Intercession for Nigeria). Texts: Isaiah 61 vs 3. Confessions: Lord, arise and have mercy upon Nigeria; for the time to favour her, the set time is now in Jesus name. Exhortation: One of the profound principles of God is elimination by substitution. All through the Bible, we can see this principle coming alive and doing exploits in the life of individuals and nations. In Isaiah 61 vs 3; the Almighty God says He will give beauty to substitute for ashes; oil of joy for mourning and garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness! This means that, situation of ashes around you is only ashes in your thinking and feeling- God is able to offer you beauty in place of such a sordid situation. And He will do it today in Jesus name. God will take away mourning from our land( for we are mourning indeed) and bring oil of joy for our succor in Jesus name. Is Nigeria mourning really? Yes, tears are flowing freely all over the land because of insecurity, poverty, deprivation and despair. We are in a war situation. Lives are being wasted everyday. Souls are perishing. Hell is becoming enlarged because of exodus of sinners filling up its cruel space. Frightening things are being said about Nigeria; even Christians are getting discouraged daily, about the spate of terrorism, in spite of our prayers. Many are wondering if God is listening to our cries at all. Brethren, God is answering those prayers, because the situation could have been worse than this, but for a divine hand waving away danger and destruction from the nation. We are where we are today, because of iniquity. The wages of sins is death( Romans 6:23). Righteousness, the Bible says, exalts a nation but sin is a reproach to any people( Proverbs 14 vs 34). God has been patient with us- waiting for our repentance and renewal. But are we repentant? This is why we need to cry unto the Lord this moment, and ask for a spirit of repentance and mercy. As children of God, we have a responsibility to intercede for our nation. We need not lament or bemoan the existing situation: what we need is prayers and more prayers. And God will answer our prayers in Jesus name. Today, we shall bombard heavens with our prayers. Nigeria is down but not out; her head is bloody but unbowed; she is tied to a stake and bayed about by many enemies but her soul is still alive. We can salvage the situation of our land, and the best way to do this is to pray. We all know 2 Chronicles 7 : 14: If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. God will heal our land in Jesus name. Pls, find time to pray for Nigeria. Your intercession will speak glory into your life in Jesus name. Amen. Shalom. Prayers. Lord, look upon Nigeria and have mercy on her in Jesus name. 3. Terminate the prosperity of darkness in Nigeria in Jesus name. 4. Liquidate generational spiritual liability holding Nigeria hostage in Jesus name. 5. Powers handing over Nigeria to plunderers and fumblers, die in Jesus name. 6. Blood of Jesus, reverse every death sentence pronounced upon Nigeria in Jesus name. 7. Strife of tongues pulling Nigeria to the valley, cease in Jesus name. 8. Lord, buy back Nigeria from evil spiritual buyers and negotiators in Jesus name. 9. Covenant of sorrow against the soul of Nigeria, break in Jesus name, 10. Evil spiritual blood bank in the heart of Nigeria, receive fire, break by fire in Jesus name. 11. Holy Ghost, repair the leaking glory of Nigeria in Jesus name. 12. Spirit of asunder speaking against Nigeria, lose your voice in Jesus name. 13. Cloud of mourning hanging over Nigeria, disperse by fire in Jesus name. 14. Father, locate the locusts of Nigeria and set them on fire in Jesus name. 15. I pour divine salt upon the bitter waters of Nigeria in Jesus name. 16. Lord, appoint builders and lifters for Nigeria in Jesus name. 17. Holy Ghost, walk over Nigeria and trample upon serpents and scorpions hurting its glory in Jesus name. 18. Father, give me my portion of glory in Nigeria in Jesus name. 19. Make me a voice and a face in my nation in Jesus name. 20. Lord, set me above the whole realm in Jesus name. 21.
