Mondays are for restocking the pantry for the volunteer wild life - TopicsExpress

Mondays are for restocking the pantry for the volunteer wild life conservationists at the Zimanga Private Reserve. After our morning scanning session to find the African Wild Dogs we took the back way in to Mkuze thru a sugar cane field. I needed to exchange a few US dollars into South African Rand so I went to the bank. The que was long. Fifteen or sixteen people in front of me. To enter the bank, you walk thru two electronically operated doors, waiting for the green light to open the door into the lobby. Two tellers were sitting behind bullet proof glass helping customers. Two ladies were at the far counter taking money out of a small plastic shopping bag and putting it in the safe drawer to give to the teller. 10 minutes later, the tellers were still helping the same clients. Forty five minutes later, I made it to the front of the line. The process to exchange my US dollars into rand was excruciatingly tedious. Guess Im a spoiled American expecting fast an efficient service. After finishing the grocery shopping we went for lunch at the Ghost Mountain Lodge, a luxury hotel in Mkuze with wifi, restaurant and bar. The chicken and shrimp curry I ordered was excellent.
