Money quote! Of course, I can’t speak for all of my people, and of course, some of us are jackasses. However, people like myself WILL call out those who cause us to lose face. When I see people of other races being obnoxious or otherwise stupid in public places, I ignore them as par for the course. But on occasions when I see Asians, especially Chinese Americans, doing the same, I have called them out, usually by saying, in our native tongue, “stop shaming our people.” Because their behavior is a reflection on me.
