Monitors have been very active in the Oxfordshire/Gloucestershire - TopicsExpress

Monitors have been very active in the Oxfordshire/Gloucestershire area since the beginning of November, attending the opening meets of the three local hunts, with two more hunts receiving attention on Saturday. None of the hunts seemed at all pleased to see the monitors! On each occasion monitors witnessed foxes being chased by hounds, and fully believe that, had they not been present with their cameras trained, the hounds would not have been called off the foxes. Bearing in mind that it is nine years since the Hunting Act came into force, all hounds currently used by hunts should have only ever hunted a trail. In reality they constantly chase foxes. Draw your own conclusions from that. The monitors turn out in all weathers, drive considerable distances to hunts, suffer abuse, obstruction and worse. Please donate now to help them continue in this vital work. Remember, without the monitors, there might as well be no hunting ban - they are the people putting hunts under pressure. If you support the Hunting Act, please give the monitors your financial support so that they can continue this vital work!
