(Monkey magic) I have a monkey on my back , Its there I feel it It aint a chimp or an orangutan or a spider or a cheetah , but its there I know , i can smell the bananas and it pees down my neck , and when I walk down the street and people stop and stare , I know they see my monkey and they envy me. It all kicked off tother day down the butchers arms ,you know? just them and thee and the monkey and me ... I was accused of stealing pints of lager like , but it wasnt I, tried to explain it was the monkey on me back an alcholic simian it turns out. and the Urine flowed, and landlord grabbed me by my pee stained collar , and ejected me ,and screamed , stay out of my pub you dirty stinking bum and dont come back He was a good lad bert ,he was always doing this I held no malice or hatred towards the man. Next morn ,i awoke and mad Dave my neighbour in cardboard villas did say , Old bert had been found dead and razored int alley by the butchers arms , poor lad he was my mate, but then I knew, and sensed twas the protection and berts early attack , and of pure revenge , of the monkey on my back.
