Monopoly of Power is not the Problem The tyranny of the ruler - TopicsExpress

Monopoly of Power is not the Problem The tyranny of the ruler does not stem from the monopolisation of authority but rather from the doctrine upon which the authority is built. The rulers monopoly over authority is not a problem because in essence, the ruler should enjoy the exclusive competency to run peoples affairs: The Iman is a guardian and he is responsible for his subjects. The Messenger of Allah (saw) was ruling single-handedly and likewise were the Khulafa after him, though the rules of Shurah and Mashurah were in force. This reality is practised in all the entities of the world because the essence of leadership stipulates that it is inherently solitary. Hence, the point at issue lies in the foundation upon which the authority is built and the mechanism by which the affairs of the masses are run. The foundation of the Arab regimes contradicts peoples viewpoint towards life, namely the Islamic Aqeedah; and as for the mechanism of ruling, it is built upon tyranny and feudalistic authority whereby a genuine process of holding the ruler to account is proscribed save for the concept of opposition necessitated by the democratic scam that deceives the will of the masses. Hence, we are not calling for the reduction of the rulers competencies and we do not want generosity from them to sanction the opposition that lends legitimacy to their regimes. We want the foreign and domestic affairs of our Ummah to be managed on the basis of our Aqeedah and we want to call the rulers to account on the basis of what our Deen commands and prohibits, not to be in opposition. Then, let the ruler have solitary authority in his quality as a deputy of the Ummah in implementing her system in life, the state and society. 3 September 2014 forum.hizbuttahrir.org/showthread.php?4933-Monopoly-of-Power-is-not-the-Problem&p=48100#post48100
