Montenegro Focus: pesticides and fertilisers, seeds and seedlings, genetically modified organisms and licence for dealing in medicines, medical devices, medical aids and narcotics. The import documentation for Montenegro has been reviewed and amended accordingly. The following changes have been made: Agricultural Chemicals The Phytosanitary Directorate of Macedonia has issued updated application forms for the importation of Agricultural Chemicals. The revised application templates, as well as processing times, fees, validity durations and required documents, have been incorporated or adjusted accordingly in the following documents, as applicable: Registration of Importers of Pesticides and Fertilisers Permit to Import Pesticides Permit to Import Fertilisers. Plants and Plant Products As a result of the amended regulations of the Phytosanitary Directorate, the documents required for the importation of Plants and Plant Products have been revised. A template for the registration form of wholesalers and importers of seeds and seedlings has now been included in the document entitled Registration of Importers of Seeds and Seedlings. Moreover, the processing times and fees, required documents to be enclosed, as well as validity durations have been adjusted in said document as well as the Permit to Import Seeds and Seedlings. Genetically Modified Organisms In regard to the importation and placement on the market of products containing genetically modified organisms, the minimum content required in the application for the Approval to Deal in Genetically Modified Organisms, as well as necessary documents to be enclosed with it, has been updated according to the Law on GMO (Official Gazette CG, 40/11). Medicines, Medical Devices and Narcotics For the importation of Medicines, Medical Devices and Narcotics, it is required to provide a document confirming the authorisation to deal in the respective products in Montenegro.
