Montgomery County Department of Environmental Protection (DE) will be placing a small pontoon boat in Lake Whetstone (with a small crane) tomorrow morning, Tuesday, July 30 at the North Dock (Whetstone Homes Corporation side). DEP was given permission by the Whetstone Homes Corp to use this entrance. The boat will be used for two days to take sediment samples at various points in the lake (part of the background information needed for the dredging project). The boat will be picked up on Wednesday, July 31, after they have finished getting their samples. The boat will be parked overnight at either the North Dock or South Dock.
