Moony Em tagged me to write 10 games that affected my life. Okay, I also forced him to tag me. AHAHAHAHAHA. Ahem. Id like to dedicate this post to Mannu, my audience and cheerleader during the dark times of my gaming experiences. I miss you ♥ Okay, here goes, in the order of how much I played/loved them: 10. Resident Evil - I had to Google a bit to figure this out; I played the ORIGINAL. I didnt even know this because there were so many movies and shit. Anyway, I love this game--first horror game I played, and I distinctly remember that Nash was addicted to this more than me, but she gave me the controller in the bits where the zombies looked REALLY scary. I still remember the first zombie cutscene. We threw away the controller and ran away from the room. What? It was nighttime. We were like, 7. 9. Kingdom Hearts I & II - Disney+Final Fantasy+awesome storyline. Okay, I kind of hate the fact that I played KHII and everything was severely messed up because apparently I missed a KH1.5 or something. THAT FACT ASIDE, this was so so SO SO enjoyable. I cant stress the sos enough. So-RA. Lol. 8. Soul Calibur II & III - I HAVE to drop a fighting game in here, and while Tekken was the first one I played, I loved SC way more and played it way more. Also I kicked so many peoples asses in this. *cough*Vil*cough* That feeling of kicking peoples asses. Sigh. 7. Chrono Cross - Playing this game was like being on a vacation. The huge number of characters made my perfectionist self play this game multiple times. Mutliple endings... First time I had choices in a game that actually affected the ending. 6. Age of Empires - I commanded an army, okay? I ruled--literally. I cant believe more people either (a) dont know about this game or (b) dont talk about this game. I love this game. I could play it all the time, until the end of time. In fact, I should probably start downloading this again. 5. Diablo II - Loved this game, loved it. I especially loved the money sounds the coins made when I picked them up. God, I loved those coins. Sometimes, Id drop all my money onto the field just so I could pick it back up and hear all the money. Ah, money... 4. Unreal Tournament - The first first-person-shooter game I played. And boy, did I suck. I sucked SO BAD. I still suck at these types of games, but I love playing it. AzMyst beat me in literally A SECOND each time he saw me on multiplayer mode. I dont know HOW I ever ended this game. How did I play so much and still suck so bad? Mysteries of life. 3. World of Warcraft - When I first created a character and she was dropped onto Azeroth, I could feel my social life falling down an endless abyss of doom and destruction. Yep. That probably sums this up. God, so awesome. 2. Legend of Mana - The stories in this-oh my god. OH. MY. GOD. The Bejeweled City. The soundtrack. THE MONSTER EGGS. THE ORCHARD. UGH. JUST. UGH. 1. Final Fantasy VII, VIII, IX, X - FFVIII was the first FF game I ever played. Also the first RPG game I ever played. Also the first game that I stopped playing after I got stuck at a bit where there was a tough boss and then ended up finishing years later. What? I was like 9. Speaking of 9, if I saw FFIXs ending right now, Id cry. If I saw FFVIIIs ending right now, Id cry, too. If you showed me FFXs ending, Id imagine a whole other world where FFX-II wasnt invented. If you showed me FFVIIs ending, Id be damn happy because my CD got stuck at the very last cutscene the last time I played it, and I swear to god I cannot tell if Im remembering the games ending or the Advent Children movie ending anymore. Also, in case you didnt get it, this is my favorite game series. Honorable mention goes to the Fifa game and the cycle racing games (which I cant remember the name of) in the 90s that start my journey into stealing the Playstation from dad and never letting him play another game while I was in the house since then. Sorry, dad. Girls gotta play what a girls gotta play. Note: If you think these are pretty damn old games, please buy me a PS3 or similar platform so that I can play the newer games that you think are better than these. Gaming laptops are also acceptable. Thank you.
