Moose Hunter Shoots Norway Man On Toilet An accident leaves an elderly man in hospital and a hunter in police custody - while the moose he meant to hit escapes unscathed. Thursday 24 October 2013 Sky News A moose hunter in Norway accidentally shot a pensioner sitting on the toilet in a nearby holiday home. The man had been aiming for the animal, but saw his wayward bullet pierce the wooden wall behind it and strike the unsuspecting victim. Officials said the man in his 70s was rushed to hospital by helicopter from the site in the island Vesteroy, around 74 miles south of capital Oslo. His injury was not though to be life-threatening. The moose also escaped unharmed. Anders Stroemsaether, the policeman leading the investigation, said the hunter had been detained for questioning and the victim was likely to recover.
