More I know the world,more I travel and more I read;makes me believe ever so strongly that what connects and unites us human beings is far more profound,far more real,far more simple than what divides us.By denying dignity of the other we deny something very crucial to our very own selves.Our cultures, languages, beliefs, values, tastes, perceptions may be different but the fact is that we are one big family and we are HERE and we EXIST.The question is whether we decide to work on things common amongst us or not and also whether we try honestly to understand and respect our differences.To struggle together for a just world based on what is universally known as good is the only way forward for us,otherwise we may find innumerable reasons(all of them insensible) to annihilate each other, as is already happening all over the world today.We need to understand and believe deeply that denial of any ones freedom and dignity is a direct attack on our freedoms and dignities.We need to learn to try and see the world without our own prisms and if that is very difficult then to see it through with as many prisms as possible-the prisms of others.There is no other way to understand,deal with and respect our diversities.It is only through such exercise we will come to know not only what is universally good but also what is universally bad, therefore helping us to discover and rediscover our common ethics,which are meant to serve as the central axis around which we may try to live our lives individually and collectively....
