More about our charity challenge....... Day 4 cycling - Thurs 6th NOV. - 105 km Stone Town - Uroa The longest day of the challenge & the one where our training will really come into play. We hope! :) We set off through the lively streets of the old town but are soon into the tranquil Zanzibar countryside. A beautiful ride across the island past lush vegetation, tropical forests, rice paddies & of course the many spices which make this island famous. The terrain is undulating with some short sections on dirt roads, keeping our eyes peeled for monkeys, bush pigs, antelopes, civets – and the elusive Zanzibar leopard! Our destination is the vibrant fishing village of Uroa on the East coast of Zanzibar. Powdery white beach, fringed with coconut palms.....perfect place to rest our weary limbs after a hard day in the saddle
