More amazing goals for @SpaceX! Here are the highlights of Musks remarks as I [ Clark Lindsey, NewSpaceWatch editor] see them: On the next Falcon 9/Dragon launch to the ISS, currently set for Dec.9th, SpaceX will attempt to land the first stage on a floating platform at sea. The platform is under construction at a shipyard in Louisiana. Its dimensions are 300 feet x 170 feet (91.4 m x 52 m) Leg span of the rocket is 60 feet (18.3 m) The platforms engines will attempt to keep it fixed at one spot. If landing on the platform is successful, he believes they will be able to re-fly that booster. Gives a landing on first shot a 50% chance of success With a dozen flights coming up in next 12 months, believes a good chance at least one landing will work and the booster will be re-flown.
