More detail today from Shadow Chancellor, Ed Balls, on our proposed mansion tax - a policy I wholeheartedly support. Writing in today’s Evening Standard, Ed Balls has stated that people earning under £42,000 a year will be able to defer paying the tax until the property changes hands, and claiming that ‘those owning properties worth £2 million-£3 million will only pay an extra £250 a month through this new tax. This is fair tax, asking those who have more to contribute more towards the protection and health of our NHS. standard.co.uk/comment/comment/ed-balls-a-mansion-tax-will-be-fair-simple-and-pay-to-save-the-nhs-9805924.html
