More details regarding my legal situation: My Presentencing Report (PSR) came back. Because I have (2) prior felony drug convictions, I am officially designated a career criminal. The crime Ive plead guilty to, possession with intent to distribute typically carries a 5 year minimum mandatory sentence. In my case, because of my career criminal status, my (PSR) gives a sentencing range of between 188 months at the bottom and 235 months at the top. There are some mitigating factors ...I have very good lawyer who is making a strong case that I am not a career criminal. He believes the career designation in my case is not really in keeping with the spirit of the law. But I would appreciate any help my friend can provide... And prayers are an awesome place to start.
