More evidence that Obama rules like a dictator. In his 2008 campaign, Obama did say he favored a lessening of restrictions on Cuba, just like any Liberal thinks. But he also said he would only make changes in consultation with Congress. However, he has twice changed travel and remittance policies with Cuba unilaterally and now has taken a giant step to eliminate the embargo on Cuba without consulting nor obtaining Congressional approval. If the GOP President did something comparable, the Democrats and mainstream media would have a hissy fit. But - no - instead we have uncritical praise from the mainstream media. And what will likely happen? Marco Rubio spelled it out nicely on Bret Baiers FOX NEWS last night. Cubas Communist government was in trouble as Venezuelas economy has been crumbling. After Russia stopped supporting Cuba, Castro took the action to permit farmers and merchants to practice a little capitalism to keep the country going. But it was not enough until Chavez stepped in to help. Now, with Fidel near death and his brother Raul getting old himself, their hopes for a transition that continues their Commie dictatorship is in trouble. But Obamas actions will gibe them just enough economic help to allow them to continue their tyranny longer. We and the people of Cuba have been betrayed.
