More free roaming/feral cat stories based on true stories! CHARLEY BROWN: I was cold so I found a warm spot under a car. I was sound asleep when someone started the engine. They found me lying in the street. LUCY, the vet, said I had suffered a “Fan Belt” injury to my tail. That was some alarm clock, huh! I was TNR’d and had most of my tail amputated. They returned me to my colony and I am doing very well now. JERRY. My family won’t let me and my brother BEN in the house! Do they think we eat too much? Ben does, but I don’t. It was rainy, windy and cold and we sat by the front door waiting and waiting for them to let us in but they wouldn’t. They think we’re dirty. All we want is a warm, dry bed and someone to let us lick the ice cream bowl. I’m tired of chasing the raccoons away from Ben. PATTY. Some kids were trying to sell me and PEPPERMINT in front of the grocery store for $5. It was winter and we were in a cardboard box. No one wanted us, so at the end of the day the kids left the box by the pet store. It was so cold, but we huddled together all night. In the morning the pet store people found us and took us to the shelter. We went to foster care and found a good home. We got lucky and stayed together! Sweeeet! Spay, Neuter, Return, Release, Adopt!
