More fun in the old neighborhood: HOUSTON – A Houston man faces charges stemming from the shooting death of his female roommate early Sunday in southwest Houston, police said. According to the Houston Police Department, it happened around 2 a.m. at a home near Trafalgar Drive and Altair Way. When police arrived at the scene, they found the victim’s body just inside the doorway with a gunshot wound. She lived at the home with a male roommate. The roommate was still at the home when officers arrived, investigators said. He was taken downtown to be interviewed by HPD homicide detectives. Detectives said the victim and the suspect got into an argument. The suspect then shot the victim once with a rifle. He remains in custody and charges are pending.
