More important news in from JB After giving it considerable thought I have decided to fit my special regulator that previously was at extra cost as part of a standard Blueprint Tune. This change has come about due in part to confusion over what is done to the factory regulator when a Blueprint Tune is carried out. Previously I have re-machined some factory/ made new components to fit in the regulator block. The design and working principle of the reg is totally different to the factory one and functions correctly. Some think that I merely set up the factory reg so that it works correctly. This is not the case. My Blueprint Tune regulator works in a totally different way. To do this means considerable extra time and cost hence the recent price increase to £200 + VAT as a previous post explained. After sitting down and thinking about it I have now decided to abandon the dogs breakfast completely and only fit a modified version of my special regulator ( previously £100 extra) at no extra cost. I have modified this so that it gives superior performance over ALL power levels not just shining at fac levels as before. It reacts to pressure changes way faster and with greater precision than any “mechanically” governed device. I have devoted considerable time and effort in getting it to its current level of versatility. The new specification Blueprint Tune will also include my design of “Flow Meter” to control the flow of high pressure air form the buddy bottle as it enters the regulator and is reduced to the working pressure in the secondary chamber. It does not contain springs or cup springs (Belville washers} and is maintenance free. The only downside for some curious folk out there is that it cannot be tinkered with in a search for extra velocity! Any attempt to dismantle the regulator block once Blueprint Tuned will render it unworkable. My standard guarantee applies even down to refunding postage costs in the rare event of anything gong amiss. Nowadays that £50 and I would soon go bust if that happened often! Use your air rifle frequently. It will reward you. Store it gathering dust and it will not. A bit like taking the dog for a walk, it does both of you good, There are hundreds upon hundreds of happy customers out there using Blueprint Tuned R10s. I have yet to decide what to do about charging for this modification if an existing customer want it fitted. The new specification, although giving slightly superior overall performance, makes life easier for me. It is not often something can cut both ways but this is one of those occasions! I am proud of my designs and always want them at their very best so if anyone has any questions give me a ring.
